SATURDAY PIT SHOTS
Random shots from throughout
the day between the push starts and Line of Fire. Just trying
to make sure eveyone gets recognized.
The very final adventure for
Saturday was unknown by most. Late afternoon Melvyn Record and
some track crew arranged a photo shoot of Sonny Messner, Don
Garlits and the Swamp Rat III on the world famous Corkscrew at
Laguna Seca.
The car was towed up
the track to its destination atop the summit of the course.
The photo shoot went
on for the handfull of photogs who ventured up.
Then Sonny being Sonny, did the
improptu move of driving down the Cork Screw, absolutely a first
for a dragster.
That concludes the
Nitro Revival portion of the weekend.
